Hometown: I was born in Rockledge and have lived in Titusville since I was 6 months old.

Education: I graduated from THS in 1976 and UCF in 1980. I have a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I also have certification from the National Institute of Learning Disabilities to provide Learning Disability Therapy.

Family Info: I am the oldest of 6 children. My sister Tracie is the K-3 teacher here at the school. I taught dance for Gretta Matheny for 17 years.  I am starting my 14th year here as a teacher but I was a mom at the school for 5 years before that.  Both of my children Kira (who is 22) and Skylar (who is 16) went to Park Ave Christian Academy.  I have been married to Calvin for 28 years. He is also a THS graduate (’74). He works at the cape for CSR and also teaches karate at Parrish Health and Fitness.  I have been a member of PABC since it started when I was 12 years old.

Hobby: My main hobby is raising and now training my 2 year old colt. He was my 25th wedding anniversary gift. His name is Silver Secretary (or Rayne around the barn) and he is a grandson of the famous race horse Secretariat. I also have a Chihuahua named Bandit who is a hobby of sorts.

When you became a Christian: I asked Jesus into my heart during a revival here at PABC when I was 12 or 13 years old.

Favorite verse: My favorite Bible verse is Luke 2:52 – And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.  I like to insert my student’s names where Jesus’ name is……..
